Learn how to repave your driveway, including digging out the old driveway, laying down stone for a good sub-base, grading, leveling, and compacting that stone, and finally laying down fresh hot mix asphalt. This new asphalt driveway came out amazing and I cannot wait to use it to make more videos!

  1. Sorry for the lack of content recently. Life happens… I got the driveway redone so I couldn’t film for a few weeks and then I went looking for houses in another state and got sick so I had to quarantine for another 3 weeks until I got a negative result. But now I’m all better and back at making new videos so stay tuned! Thank you for the support!

    2. Hey Chris, no worries man, you have a catalog of excellent material to keep us not only entertained, but safely on the road. Can you please do a tutorial on headliner repair and replacement. This may be one of the most universal problems for any vehicle. I’ve fixed them before only for them to sag again a year or 2 later.

  2. Your parents must love how well equipped you are to repair anything, and help other people by recording it

    2. @Bunkbed bruh he got confused and just told the truth though he did help people out with this, and did pay the price for this

    3. @DroopymeerKat if you weren’t talking about this video specifically why would you choose this video specifically to comment on? Come on man! You set yourself up for this one

  3. Wow, it’s hard to believe that only took 4 hours. Just goes to show how hard these guys work and how well they’ve mastered their craft. Amazing stuff.

    2. @Scott W is ChrisFix your boyfriend? Jesus I wish my girlfriends defended me like you defend your boyfriend

    3. @Skambank just finished a concrete driveway yesterday that took us 2 days and paid 14,300$. That’s why my pickup truck payment costs more than your rent 😉

  4. As a road worker from the Netherlands, it is very interesting to see how people in other countries work. They did a great job and it is definitly a strong construction. But in the Netherlands this would not be accepted due to little details like they did not apply an adhesive layer between the sides of the garage/sidewalk and the asphalt. This layer ensures that the asphalt wont let loose/crack over time. Nevertheless a great video and i hope you will be happy with your new driveway!

    1. Yeah I live in Sweden and we use adhesive aswell. And also the people saying asphalt crack because of temp. No it doesn’t.

    2. @CarpaccioSalad Concrete should not crack due to the changes in temperatures. If this happens the weather conditions weren’t taken in account.

This should be avoided by adding porosity into the mixture of concrete. Porosity in concrete avoids cracks caused by water freezing in concrete (freezing water expands and causes the cracks if we are focusing on weather conditions).

    3. Netherland avg temps are about 1->24C. New Jersey is like, -5C to 35C. It’s gonna crack regardless

    4. Dont quote me on this but im pretty sure with our Harsh winters in certain regions in America the adhesive isnt required… The concrete will crack anyways due to the changes in temperatures..

  5. Being a Paver Operator, with all around experience on different equipment such as the skid steer, rollers, and other equipment, along with a good old rake and shovel, it’s always satisfying seeing a good finished job!

    1. @Ayyye 94 exactly. He didn’t do a damn thing. Now he wants to “teach people”how to do it 😂 just a minor setback that they are using a 100k$ in equipment that you don’t have

  6. Asphalt contractor here. Was just going to add that the price depends on difficulty. Your driveway was pretty simple: Straight passes, no subgrade for new sub base exc. Looks nice! They did a good job

  7. Chris i just wanna say thank you for making amazing content, i’ve learned so much from you. i was always scared to work on my car but now i always watch your videos when i need to work on something and feel a lot more confident in what im doing. Keep up the good work ,you’re amazing.
