  2. There is no such thing as “government money”. All the money a government spends comes from TAXES! It’s YOUR money they are spending!

  3. Preach it Scotty! The government LOVES giving OUR money away to these corporations. Whatever happened to these companies compete for our business?

  4. I can see Scotty’s point about the government making these offers to companies to stay within the US, but we have to look at this on the flip side. If they DIDN’T that likely means they would settle on somewhere like China to manufacture the batteries. After all, I thought people wanted more stuff to be made here in the US and less dependency on other countries to acquire goods (even if they’re designed in the US but manufactured elsewhere)? Yes I can see where these companies sometimes “name their price” in that, but I think in the end, the American economy will win out despite these government incentives as some of them may only be a one-time incentive or only for a few years. But it’s enough to keep them here, and once they get up and going, most probably wouldn’t bother moving overseas especially if some (more) penalties or tariffs were put into place to disincentivize companies to export goods, have them assembled elsewhere, and then re-imported back into the US. There’s no one good solution that can make everyone happy, but I think for the long-term these types of deals witll benefit the US more than people think.

  5. We had a caravan that had 323000 miles on it original tranny and engine, a lot of rust by the end but still ran pretty good
