A turbocharged engine in the Golf GTi delivers 228 hp, which is more than enough to make a hot hatch fly by. Its rear seats fold flat, giving the car 52.7 cubic feet of cargo space.

The Golf raises the standard for hatchbacks. This popular car is packed with modern features, convenience, and technology. It also has many interior configurations, including 60/40 split rear seats that allow for up to 52.7 cubic feet of cargo space. Other Volkswagen hatchback models provide similar cargo space and interior configurations. Volkswagen Hatchback Models – Golf GTI

The Volkswagen Golf GTI hatchback has been around since 1974 and represents a full four decades of front-wheel-drive development. While most Golfs have gone out of production, some are still iconic. The most popular Golfs are the Mk1 and Mk2 (16-valve variants). However, the Mk5 is still the best Golf, especially when equipped with the Performance Pack and Clubsport S specifications.

The Volkswagen Golf GTI has received numerous awards, including World Car of the Year and European Car of the Year twice, both in 1992 and in 2013. In addition, it has been listed on the prestigious Car and Driver 10Best list multiple times. The hatchback was also named a top-selling car in Europe in 2001. There is no shortage of good things to say about the Volkswagen Golf GTI. It is one of the best-selling cars in Europe, and Volkswagen’s brand has been around for over a century.

The Golf GTI hatchback has a modern look, but it is still equipped with a number of driver-assist features. It has a 12-way power driver’s seat, Fender premium audio, and DCC adaptive chassis control, which help the car keep its speed under control. Additionally, it includes a power tilt/sliding panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, rear-view camera, and Bluetooth.

Volkswagen Hatchback Models – Golf R

The Volkswagen Golf R is an all-wheel-drive performance car that accelerates from zero to sixty mph in 3.9 seconds. Its six drive modes include Comfort, Race, Individual, Drift, and Special. It can be fitted with a manual or automatic transmission. Drivers can choose the one that suits them best, thanks to a torque-vectoring system that improves steering-wheel turn-in. The manual transmission model gets 20 mpg city and 28 mpg highway.

The Golf R has two performance models in the U.S.: the Golf GTI and the Golf R. Both cars are highly capable and impressive, but the R is more powerful and has all-wheel-drive capabilities. While the Golf R is not cheap, it’s a tiny thrill machine that’s sure to be a hit with sports car drivers. For a midsize hatchback, the VW Golf GTI is more practical than the Golf R.

The VW R version of the Golf was introduced just one year after the sixth generation of the Golf was unveiled. The Golf had already become a hot hatch phenomenon, and Volkswagen wanted to stay ahead of the competition. The R32 had the engine displacement displayed on the front, but was discarded for the 2009 model year. The R-version, on the other hand, still had an aggressive appearance. The Golf R was Volkswagen’s first hot hatch, and other carmakers soon followed.

Volkswagen Hatchback Models – e-Golf

The e-Golf offers the same interior space as a standard gas-powered Golf hatchback, including ample passenger space and 22.8 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded. The hatchback also offers a high center console armrest, cup holders, and a rearview camera, as well as ambient lighting. For added convenience, all models come with a partial-power seat adjustment system. Drivers can adjust the seat recline angle using the seat switch, while front-seat passengers have to use manual controls to adjust their height and fore-aft positioning.

The e-Golf hatchback was manufactured at two Volkswagen factories, Wolfsburg and Dresden, starting in 2017. It served as a precursor to the ID.3 hatchback, which was launched earlier this year in Zwickau, Germany. As of 2017, the VW Dresden factory produced 50,401 e-Golf hatchback models, while production in Wolfsburg ended earlier this summer. Over its seven-year run, the Volkswagen e-Golf had sold over 145,561 vehicles. The VW e-Golf was among the most popular electric cars in Europe, especially in Norway and Germany.

The Volkswagen e-Golf comes with a five-passenger interior. Its controls are easily accessible, and the touchscreen is large enough to accommodate a smartphone. The VW e-Golf SE has an 8.0-inch touchscreen, while the SEL Premium has a 9.3-inch unit. The SE and SEL Premium trims feature Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity. A USB charging port is also available.

Volkswagen Hatchback Models – Taos

The new VW Taos hatchback models replace the Golf compact hatchback in the VW model line-up. Features include a BeatsAudio premium sound system, keyless entry, heated front and rear seats, and adaptive cruise control. The car also comes with features such as automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitor, and rear cross-traffic alert. The 2022 VW Taos is expected to come with numerous safety features.

Despite its relatively small size, the 2015 Taos has impressive acceleration and steering. Its off-the-line acceleration is impressive, but the tyre bakes the front tires when you over-rev it. The car’s transmission is moderately unresponsive, and power surges feel delayed. Gear shifts are also clunky, making it difficult to enjoy the drive at low speeds. The AWD model is the only one available with selectable drive modes, though.

The Volkswagen Taos is categorized as a compact crossover but is priced to compete in the subcompact segment. While its compact crossover size allows it to compete with many rivals in this segment, it is also slightly larger than many of its competitors. Its overall length is 175.8 inches, and its wheelbase is 105.9 inches for FWD models and 105.6 inches for AWD variants. Its height is 64.6 inches, but its wheelbase is considerably shorter.

Volkswagen Hatchback Models – Golf SportWagen

Volkswagen Golf SportWagen hatchback models offer a different driving experience than their sedan counterparts. With a sporty look and an extra foot in length, the hatchback model’s interior looks more high-quality. It features a sport-inspired steering wheel, and a dashboard designed around the driver. Compared to previous generations, the Golf SportWagen’s interior has also been redesigned. High-quality materials and a modern German design are used throughout the cabin.

The VW Golf SportWagen has an uneven distribution of standard safety features, but that doesn’t make it any less safe. A standard back-up camera and a post-collision braking system prevent secondary accidents after the airbags deploy. Both of these features are useful and come standard on the SportWagen. The base S trim includes a touchscreen interface and Bluetooth connectivity. Its infotainment system is straightforward and well-executed.

The 2019 Golf SportWagen has two trim levels, S and SEL. Both base models offer the same features, although there are some differences between the trims. The S trim has some common features as the base Golf SportWagen, but the SE trim comes with power accessories and 17-inch wheels. The SEL trim adds features such as a rearview camera and touchscreen navigation. Other standard features include a leather steering wheel and heated front seats.

Volkswagen Hatchback Models – Alltrack

Unlike many smaller hatchbacks, the Subaru Alltrack has ample cargo space and can comfortably seat 21 people in its back seats. When folded flat, the rear seats can accommodate up to 66 cubic feet of cargo. The Alltrack also has an automatic emergency braking system and has good visibility. In addition to these benefits, the Subaru Alltrack gets 25 mpg overall from its 1.8-liter turbo four. The Alltrack has a strong warranty and can be transferred to subsequent owners.

The Alltrack’s interior is warm and inviting. It features standard faux-leather seats and several appealing color choices. It is organized logically. Those who want to improve the safety and convenience features of their Alltrack can opt for the SE model, which includes a driver assistance and appearance package. The latter package includes an 8.0-inch touchscreen with navigation and automatic climate control. This package also adds a power-adjustable driver’s seat, an adaptive front-lighting system, and a driver-side mirror.

The Alltrack’s appearance is rugged and reminiscent of a station wagon. Its raised ride height and standard all-wheel drive make it a worthy alternative to a subcompact SUV. Despite its rugged appearance, it has excellent road manners. It is ideal for family outings and is capable of handling difficult terrain. Aside from its rugged look, the Volkswagen Alltrack is also extremely comfortable to drive.
